Mainly Music
Young children and their parents/caregivers join together for a fun, thirty-minute music session, then afterwards enjoy morning tea in a relaxed setting.  Mainly Music is an activity you and your child (birth to school age) can participate in.

Libraries

Clare District Library, Clare. The library has regular school holiday activities and weekly story telling for preschoolers. There is also free internet, parenting facilities, coffee and drinks available. 8842 3817

Model Train Rides

Inchiquin Lake Train Rides, Clare Valley Model Engineers Inc Clare. Children can enjoy rides on the model trains every 2md and 4th weekend through the Inchiquin Lake Park. 8842 3075

Motorbikes

Clare Motorcycle Club, Clare. Lets the kids ride a motorbike in a safe, monitored environment. The club meets every second week between 1st May and 31st October. 0418 802 890

History / Museums

Kapunda Museum & Bagots Fortune, Kapunda. A display of agricultural machinery, historical artefacts and a working model of the Kapunda Mine Site's Cornish Bull Pumping Engine. 8566 2902

Kapunda Mine Site, Kapunda. A walking trail around the site which takes in some amazing views, ruins and goes down into two open shafts. 8566 2902

Burra Passport Heritage Trail, Burra. A self-guided trail taking in historical sites including: The Unicorn Underground Cellars, dugouts at Burra Creek, the Gaol used in Breaker Morant, the Monster Mine and the ‘old fashioned' Lolly Store on Market Square. 8892 2154

Sevenhill Cellars, Sevenhill. Underground crypt below the Church and the Tasting Room has an underground Cellar and museum. 8843 4222

Kapunda Visitor Information Centre, Kapunda. Downstairs at the Visitor Information Centre there is an interpretive centre with movies, interactive activities and a bit of mystery. 8566 2902

Kapunda Bakery, Kapunda. Old Bakery Museum downstairs-kids can see "the way it used to be". 8566 2739.

Parks and Playgrounds

There are many children's playgrounds throughout the region including: Mt Bryan, Terowie, Blyth, Freeling, Two Wells, Mallala, Dublin and Parham.

Clare - Skate Park and Lions Park playgrounds. Very secure, good seating and BBQ facilities. Lighting on the Skate Park.

Freeling - Recreation park, Hanson Street. Playground,
oval and skate park.

Burra - Thomas Pickett Reserve. Children can feed the ducks down by the river with bread bought from the Burra Bakery. There are also BBQs, picnic tables and a playground.

Clare - Fauna Park. Adjacent to the Clare Caravan Park. Food for the kangaroos, emus and deer can be purchased for 50c a cup at the Caravan Park.

OPEN TUESDAYS 9am to 12pm WEDNESDAYS 10am to 12pm Loaning out Toys to families, we are the only Toy Libray in the Mid North. Term fees $15.00.
